Paul Bateman is a professional established illustrator with over 25 years experience, working for clients in editorial, publishing, design & advertising. His strong iconic graphic collages have appeared in magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, leaflets, posters & billboards in the UK & internationally.

He recently illustrated the controversial weekly 'Ms Anne Thrope' column for TES, creating a photomontage character for the anonymous author.

Paul has also illustrated for the last few years, a monthly celebrity driven column, 'I'm a Rider' for the UK's best selling cycling magazine, Cycling Plus.

Paul's background is in the traditional techniques of scissors & paste collage, but now produces his artwork digitally in Adobe Photoshop.

He uses a wide range of both self-created & found imagery he has collected over the years, but is also happy to work with those supplied by clients.

Paul Bateman's illustrations have been selected many times for the Association of Illustrators 'Images" annual. The annual celebrates illustration excellence & comprises the selected works as chosen each year by the independent industry-insider jury. Paul's illustrations were chosen most recently for 'Images 30' & 'Images 32'. In 'Images 26' he had a total of four images selected, in the editorial, advertising & book sections.

He has also featured in articles about his work in Photoshop Creative Magazine & Creative W.E.B Magazine in South Korea, as well as contributing tutorials for Computer Arts Projects Magazine.
